Book Review

Little Secrets follows Marin Machado, a successful businesswoman in Seattle, following the disappearance of her 4-year-old son Sebastian. Still inconsolable 16 months after, she hires a PI to continue the search, only to find out that her husband is having an affair with a twenty-four-year-old artist named Kenzie. Heartbroken and furious, Marin sets out to get revenge.

Little Secrets is told in the third-person but from the perspectives of Marin and Kenzie. I went back and forth on how I felt about Marin. At first I liked her but then I became annoyed with her as she made dumb choices. Kenzie annoyed me throughout the story.

I was genuinely unsure if this story would wrap up nicely or would leave me with questions, but thankfully it left nothing unanswered. All I can really say about this one is WHOA. If you like crazy thrillers that keep you engaged, this one is for you!

Thank you to Minotaur Books for the review copy!

  1. I can’t wait to read this book, and I just got the audiobook yesterday. I fell in love with her Jar of Hearts last year.
