Book Review
The Wife Who Knew Too Much follows Tabitha Girard, a waitress in rural New Hampshire as the boy who broke her heart years ago comes back into her life. Connor Ford comes back to New Hampshire older and significantly wealthier, having married his fabulously wealthy wife Nina for money. Connor tells Tabitha that he never stopped loving her, and does not love his wife. When Nina is found dead in her pool, in an apparent suicide, Connor moves Tabitha to the couple’s grandiose Hamptons home, Windswept. As Tabitha becomes more involved in life at Windswept, she starts to question how well she really knows Connor. Did Nina really kill herself or was she murdered?
I really enjoyed The Wife Who Knew Too Much. There were so many twists and turns, it was hard to know who to trust from one minute to the next. Similar to Campbell’s last book, A Stranger on the Beach, it is told from multiple perspectives. The ending totally surprised me! It twisted in a completely different direction than I expected, and kept me guessing until the very last page.
