Book Review

Forever Wild picks up at the end of Wild At Heart, resuming the love story between Calla and Jonah. It’s Christmas in Alaska and both Jonah and Calla’s families are flying in to celebrate with them. But family adds a layer of complexity to the holiday. Jonah and his stepfather Björn are constantly at odds with each other, and while Calla is excited to see her mother and Simon, she is completely overwhelmed by her mother’s overbearing “help” planning her wedding to Jonah. Calla and Jonah want a simple ceremony in Alaska, but the possibility of that seems out of the question, that is unless they get married while their family is visiting for Christmas.

I’m feeling rather melancholy writing this review because, although this was an excellent conclusion to The Simple Wild series, I desperately did not want it to end. I loved returning to the charming town of Trapper’s Crossing, and all of the eccentric characters that live there. There were so many moments where I laughed out loud, as well as a few where I cried. If you were a fan of the first two books in the series, you will love Forever Wild! It’s everything I wanted and more from the final book.

Thank you K.A. Tucker for such a brilliant conclusion to one of my favorite series’! If you like me are having a hard time letting go of Calla and Jonah, check out my list of books for fans of The Simple Wild.

Thank you to Valentine PR and K.A. Tucker for the review copy. All opinions are my own.
