Book Review

In 1000 Perfect Weekends, National Geographic offers a thousand different destinations for every type of traveler. Whether you’re looking for the perfect beach vacation or the ultimate camping experience, there is something for everyone!

This book is divided up by vacation type and features dozens of potential getaways of each type. Each getaway location includes a quick blurb of highlights, what to expect, things to do, gorgeous photos, as well as the regional hub for air travel. Perhaps my favorite part of each section is the Top Ten lists. Some of my favorites include Autumn Spectacles, Spas, Food Tours, and of course, Bookstores.

I love how many different types of vacation options there are! From world travel to more local destinations, it has plenty of options. It truly thinks through the different travel preferences, including a few that I would not have expected like National Parks, Eco-Travel, and Enabled Adventures.

My one critique is that there’s no easy way to find destinations by region without looking through the entire book. But, this book is less about trip planning and more about fantasizing about new places to adventure!

I highly recommend 1000 Perfect Weekends for those dreaming of a getaway! It’s perfect for flipping through, looking at the fabulous photos, and fantasizing about a dream getaway to a glorious destination!

Thank you to TLC Book Tours and National Geographic for the gifted copy! All opinions are my own.
