Book Review
When her magazine Leadership is bought by a new owner, editor Katherine Ross is already anxious about keeping her job, but even more so when she meets Lily Lunt, her new intern and the niece of the new owner. Lily represents everything Katherine once was, young, bright, and well-liked by her coworkers. Lily appears to genuinely want to be friends with Katherine, but before Katherine knows it, Lily has infiltrated every corner of her life. Is Lily just after Katherine’s job or is she dangerous?
Told in alternating first-person between Katherine and Lily, Precious You is a real cat and mouse story. Because you know Lily’s perspective, you know she is targeting Katherine but it makes you wonder why and how far she will go to exact her revenge.
I liked Precious You, but it definitely was not a quick read for me. I hated both Katherine and Lily as characters, although I did feel slightly more sympathy for Katherine.
